Welcome To Countryside Fabrics!

With approximately 3,000 bolts of fabric

and just under 3,000 square feet of floor space, Countryside Fabrics is one of the largest quilt shop in the Northeast Kingdom. New owners, Flo and Roger Verge, have made some major changes to the shop since purchasing the business in June of 2012. We now carry a line of Janome sewing machines and we have done quite a bit of rearranging of merchandise and floor displays. Countryside Fabrics is known for its knowledgeable staff who can assist customers with each aspect of quilting, from pattern and fabric selection to putting in the last stitches in a binding.

In addition to our fabrics

which include a wide selection of flannels, batiks, children’s, Christmas/seasonal, Jinny Beyer, Moda, reproductions, Kona, Fusion, Shadowplay, wool and more, we also carry books, patterns, quilting tools, thread, zippers, and day-to-day sewing notions. Our customers know us for our large array of kits assembled by our staff to make shopping for a project an easy task. Many samples are always on display.

We also offer several block of the month programs each year

as well as classes for beginners to the more advanced quilter, either for individuals or groups. Flo and Roger are also the owners of A Quilter’s Dream, a longarm quilting business located just a half mile from our shop. Our customers can now view us as a full-service quilt shop.

I love going to the shop to fondle the fabrics and to see what is new. When do we start the Stonehenge block of the month? I’m really looking forward to that.
